Although there were even more ‘virtual changes of ownership’ during a much more auctions-active May, more sales did at least take place in real time in what could be the new reality in a socially-distanced world for the foreseeable future.

Remote and almost as dull as low rent ‘Daytime TV’ they may be, but post-prohibition, internet auctions are the only infotainment in town. Both vendors and buyers should be happy therefore.

And at least there will be some more visual and sonic action, when auction cars can be seen being driven past the ACA and SWVA rostrums in the first two ‘Live’ On-Line Drive Throughs that will hit yours screens from 11am Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June from King’s Lynn, and from 10am Friday 26 June from Parkside, Poole.
